Middle school cross country girls earn first

The Pike County Middle School cross country girls forged a first place finish after a close battle to win by one point. Sixth grader Mayson Wood earned a first place finish and sixth grader Julianna ‘Possum’ Brown finished second as Keke Hawkins came in third. Seventh graders Jacey Fillingim finished in second and Maggie Daniels finished in ninth place. Eighth grader Evie Vining finished in second place.

The PCMS boys finished in fourth place with sixth graders Andrew Turpin in third, Landon Stone in fifth and Caleb Garner in seventh. Eighth grader Nolan Brown earned a third place finish.
