Missing girl’s body found

Spalding County officials on the lookout for a missing nine-year-old girl found her body early Saturday morning.Skylar Dials’ body was found in a wooded area behind her home at 670 Yarbrough Mill Rd. at 2:30 a.m. The GBI has been called in and the body taken to the crime lab.Earlier lookout from Spalding sheriff Wendell Beam:The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a missing person, 9 year old Skylar Dials. Skylar was last seen at 670 Yarbrough Mill Road Griffin, Georgia. She was last seen wearing a red and white aeropostale sweater, pink and silver sketchers and possibly blue jeans. Skylar was possibly wearing a pair of silver ball type earrings. Skylar also has a facial appearance that would be descriptive of a person who may have had a stroke on the left side of her face. This is not an indication that Skylar has or had a stroke only to describe the left side of her face.Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of Skylar or any information that will assist with locating Skylar are asked to call the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office at 770-467-4282.
