Molena Fest set for Saturday

Molena will be alive with the sounds of music, smells of fair food and horse and buggy traffic Nov. 6 for Molena Fest. The day will start at 8 a.m. with a 5K run/walk. The parade will start at 10 a.m. and the popular Pet Parade will follow.This year there will be a tug of war competition and a pie eating contest. There will be plenty of activities for children including a train and giant slide inflatable.’We’ll have booths with various items and food booths with everything from barbecue and hot dogs to homemade cakes and pies,’ Beckham said. ‘We’ll have different bands all during the day and we’ll have antique cars, tractors, horses and different floats in the parade.’
