The Pike County Sheriff Office’s Traffic Unit responded to a wreck involving a Toyota truck and a Harley Davidson motorcycle around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21. Preliminary results of the traffic unit’s investigation show that the Harley Davidson was stopped at a stop sign waiting to turn onto Old Lifsey Springs Road from Roberts Quarters Road when it was struck by the truck. A rider and passenger were on the motorcycle at the time. The driver of the Harley Davidson was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center. No other injuries were reported. The traffic unit does not suspect that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the wreck.
