Murder victim’s mother dies

Bobbie Louise Dorsey Burousas, 90, died Saturday at Sunny Grove in Barnesville. Mrs. Burousas was the mother of the late Buzz Burousas who was shot to death in his Pike County driveway on July 1, 2009.Burousas’s wife, Teresa Mangham Burousas, fabricated a convoluted tale alleging she was beaten and her husband killed by home invaders. Her story quickly unraveled.Teresa Burousas was convicted October 4, 2011 on charges of voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime following a bench trial. She is serving 10 years in prison to be followed by 10 years probation.Memorial services for Mrs. Burousas will be held at 11 a.m. July 25 at the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Barnesville. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be private.
