Parade, bazaar and more set for Saturday

Several events this weekend can get residents in the season’s spirit and prepare them for the big day, including the Christmas parade in Zebulon, Doughnuts with Santa and the Christmas Bazaar in Concord on Saturday. The annual Christmas Parade will start at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 with Santa Claus joining the fun as seasonal music accompanies the parade. This year, Santa will be holding court at Wings and Things starting at 5 p.m. Doughnuts with Santa is a free event hosted by Pike County Parks and Recreation and boys and girls can get their pictures taken with Santa and enjoy activities, story time and refreshments Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Pike County Senior Center. Open Range Church of Pike County will host a Christmas Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the church at 60 Madden Road in Concord with live Christmas music.
