The Pike County Middle School Cross Country girls team recently earned first at the Mustang Invitational, including (front row l-r) Jacey Fillingim, Julianna Brown, Maggie Daniel, Kennendy Hawkins, Marissa Jarvis, Avery Sutton, Brooke Arrington, Kenzie Rose (back row l-r) coach Stephanie Lawrence, Annie Brock, Brionna Burke, Mayson Wood, Kennendy Grier, Evie Vinings and Annakay Richards.

PCMS girls cross country wins Mustang Invitational

The Pike County Middle School Cross County girls team earned first place at the Mustang Invitational in Lagrange on Sept. 13. 

Leading the pack was Jacey Fillingim as the overall first place finisher. Hot on her heels was Julianna “Possum” Brown in second place. 

Also finishing in the top 15 were Mayson Wood in 11th and Kennedy Greer in 12th out of 116 runners. 

Every single runner on the girls team had a PR at the meet.
