PCMS softball undefeated at 9-0

The Pike County Middle School Lady Pirates extended their win streak to nine games after defeating region rivals the Lamar County Lady Trojans by a score of 8-2 on Sept. 22 in Pike.

On Tuesday, Sept. 20, pitcher Ella Alpough tossed her first perfect game in the circle for Pike and PCMS was unstoppable on offense as they recorded 13 hits. 

On Thursday, Sept. 15, the Lady Pirates put up their sixth straight region win with a 16-0 victory over Upson-Lee. Pitcher Madi Massengale secured the win circle for the Pirates with her first shut out on the mound for Pike. Offensively, the Pirates were led by centerfielder Marley Headley who crossed the plate four times. Averi Adcock, Harley Garland, Bella Geis, Gracelyn Moseley, Madi Massengale and Kynlee Pike also put together several hits, pushing RBIs across for the Lady Pirates.
