Beloved pets overcome by smoke during fires now stand a better chance of survival in Pike County.Friends of Pike County Animals donated four sets of pet oxygen masks to the county on Wednesday, Sept. 9.’This will certainly save pet lives,’ fire chief Danny Henderson said of the gift.’This will definitely increase the capabilities to save animal lives,’ said Don Bailey, chairman of FPCA.Until now, firefighters in Pike had to improvise when faced with a pet overcome by smoke.
