Pike kids recovering after serious wreck

Easton and Savannah Lacewell were in a serious car wreck recently and are facing a long recovery. Both Easton and Savannah were involved in sports at Pike County Parks and Recreation before their injuries.

According to a GoFundMe page (gofund.me/96ab6cb8), Easton was in a medically-induced coma and has already had two surgeries and will likely have more as other areas are assessed.

The Journal Reporter found out that Easton was able to stand up (with assistance) for the first time since the wreck during physical therapy on July 11.

Savannah has multiple injuries including a broken foot, a broken wrist and a compression fracture in her upper back. She is now able to walk again but still has a long road to full recovery.

“Whether you give, share or send prayers, we feel your support – and it means everything to us. With the support of family and friends, the strength of our faith and the power of prayer, we believe they will not only survive this – but come back even stronger,” said their grandmother Robin Chandler.
In addition to donating through GoFundMe, funds can be sent directly to their mother Brittany Paul via CashApp ($brittanymariepaul).

Both Easton and Savannah were involved in programs at Pike County Parks and Recreation.
