Pike Pirates prepare for 5-AA playoffs

“We just have to go out there and play like we know how and like we have been playing. We do that and we’ll be fine,” says Pike County Pirates Don Hanson. The PIke County Pirates baseball squad will take the field this Thursday at 4pm against Westminster in the 5-AA playoff series. The 2nd game will be played 30 minutes following the end of the first. A third game, if required, will be Friday at 3pm. The reason for the quick scheduling is to accommodate the Relay for Life which will be using the track facilities right next to the playoff field and it is in the best interest of all involved not to risk accident or injury. The playoffs will be the last chance for seniors Colby Ralson, Jared Guy, Nick Starks, and Daniel Fioravandi to play for the state championship. Game tickets are $7 per person.
