Pike County received a letter of termination of services from Veterans Medical
Transport, LLC on May 11.
According to the letter of termination, the ambulance services will end on June
10, 2022.
“Pike County is investigating all available options to ensure the provision
of the Emergency Medical Services in Pike County in view of the stated termination
date,” said the announcement sent out by the commissioners office.
Commissioners briefly discussed the renewal of the ambulance services during their May 11 morning meeting and it was noted that they were not in favor of an increase in price for the services.
