Pike’s Got Talent set for Friday

Pike’s Got Talent will feature 22 entertaining acts performed by local middle school students Friday, May 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the middle school gym. ’We have a load of talent this year,’ said PCMS art teacher Mike Thompson. ‘The middle school art club does this as a fundraiser each year to purchase art supplies.’ This year’s talents include mostly vocal performances but there are also a group of seventh grade band students performing, a couple of duets and two participants who will play an instrument while they sing. Pike’s Got Talent is open to students from sixth through eighth grade. Performers will include the Seventh Grade Band, Shakarria Evans, Sierra Bates, Jessica Tucker, Jelani Wilson, Thomas Winbush, Sarah Pitts, Anna Rich, Kennedy Hollingsworth, Tyler Rawlins, Emily Moore, Carly Banks, Olivia Thompson, Leah Tyree, Jodi Hearn, Nicholas Wiley, Trenton Coley, Christopher Slagle, Riley Atha, Regan Byrom, Martina Coleman, Autumn Whitley, Christina Harris, Autumn Clark, Georgia Hanson and Ally Sweatmon.
