They will compete in Allatoona on Saturday, Sept. 24. They will also compete in Carroll County on Saturday Oct. 1 and in Newnan on Saturday, Nov. 5. They will host the March the Plank competition Saturday, Oct. 22. Above left, the band marches and plays. Pirate Marching Band debuts stellar show

The Pirate Regiment Marching Band’s show this year is “Lunatic” and features songs about the moon, with a unique twist. Music in the show includes Dark Side of the Moon, Talking to theMoon, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Blue Moon and Fly Me to the Moon.

The band’s first competition will be Saturday, Sept. 24 in Allatoona. They will also compete Saturday, Oct. 1 in Carroll County and Saturday, Nov. 5 in Newnan. 

Brendon Weaver is the drum major for the second year in a row.

“The band is doing amazing and I am very proud of them,” said band director Ewing.
