Pirates take game one 5-4; lose game two 8-6

The Pike Pirates defeated the top-ranked Cook County Hornets 5-4 in the first game of a playoff doubleheader Tuesday afternoon at Jack Pilkenton Field. Cook came back to win game two 8-6. The decisive third game is set for Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Kaleb Lynch had a two-run homer for the Pirates and Blake Edwards hit a three-run shot to put the game one away. Kody Adams started for Pike, went six innings and got the win. Adams gave up only three hits but two were homers. Justin Guy pitched the 7th and got the save for Pike.
