Principals might be transferred

The transfer of Pike County High School principal Scott John to another school is expected to be voted on by the board of education next month. The board will vote on transferring John to a new position as principal at the middle school, according to Michael Gray, director of human resources for Pike schools. ’None of this is official at this point. Nothing is official until the school board votes on it,’ Gray said Monday, July 27. Mike Maddox, current principal at the middle school, would be transferred to the high school principal’s post if the board transfers John, Gray said.
