Rabid bat confirmed on Kings Road

According to Pike County’s animal control officer, a bat on Kings Road tested positive for rabies after coming into two dogs on Thursday, July 20. The dogs, who reside at 3251 Kings Road, were current on their rabies vaccinations. Pet owners are encouraged to ensure their pets are up to date on all vaccines, especially rabies vaccinations.
