A raccoon in the Meansville area was confirmed as having rabies by Pike County Animal Control on Friday, Feb. 3. The animal was discovered in the 500 block of Pitts Road.
“We would like to remind residents that it is State law that their pets be inoculated for rabies.” said animal control officer Scott Meyers.
