UPDATE: Sheriff’s Office press release… Pike County Sheriff’s Investigators have arrested the third and final suspect in the shooting death of Michael Dawe. Thaddeus Holmes of Thomaston, was arrested today. He faces numerous charges including – murder, armed robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and criminal attempt to possess methamphetamine. He is currently in the Pike County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. Investigators have written and served twenty five search warrants so far in this case. Investigators have recovered the gun believed to have been used along with a large number of other pieces of evidence related to the crime. Holmes is currently on probation from a conviction in Upson county for Aggravated Assault in 2012.  The help of surrounding law enforcement agencies was very important during this case and Sheriff Thomas would like to thank all of the following agencies for their assistance – Zebulon Police Department, Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, Barnesville Police Department, Upson County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Thomaston Police Department, Spalding County Sheriff’s Office and the Griffin Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
