Reports of shooting on Cook Road false

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, a report of an individual shooting their father at 1880 Cook Road was false. Officers investigated and entered the home but found no one inside. SUNDAY, MAY 10The Pike County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call this evening in which an individual reported shooting their father at 1880 Cook Road. The caller further stated that they were armed and we’re going to kill any law enforcement that came to the residence. After attempting to make contact with anyone inside the residence the SWAT team and K-9 unit made entry into the residence and found no one inside.The investigation is now underway to find out who made the initial 911 call. The call has been determined to have come through an internet Skype phone number. At this time it is believed that this was a false report made by the caller. Investigators will follow any and every to identify the caller.
