Road closed for construction

The portion of Jackson Street to the north of the Pike County Courthouse, from its intersection with Highway 19 southbound at the Courthouse Annex to its intersection with Highway 19 northbound at the Sheriff’s Department, will be closed Monday, Feb. 20 until construction is completed on the courthouse in about 12 months. The City of Zebulon agrees with the county’s recommendation for this partial road closure, which is necessary to accommodate utility relocation, heavy equipment access and to ensure safety of Pike County citizens throughout the period of construction on the courthouse renovation project. The duration of this partial road closure is estimated to be 12 months, depending on project completion, and directional signage will be in place during the period of road closure. If you have questions, contact County Manager Bill Sawyer or County Clerk Teresa Watson at the Pike County Board of Commissioners Office, 79 Jackson Street, Zebulon, GA 30295, phone 770-567-3406.
