See Pike’s Got Talent Friday

Pike’s Got Talent and local middle school student performers will take the stage Friday, May 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pike County Auditorium to prove it. Local middle schoolers in sixth through eighth grader will make up 22 acts to show off various talents, including dancers, solo and group vocalists, instrumentals and comedic acts. Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults. The talent show is sponsored by the Middle School Art Club each year. All proceeds go towards buying art supplies for middle school art programs. The auditorium is off Highway 19 just south of Zebulon. ’We are very excited about being back in auditorium this year,’ said Mike Thompson. ‘This is our first show there since the renovations.’ The talent show’s 22 acts will include a duet by Autumn Whitley and Christian Albright, vocals by Carly Brentlinger, Destini Colbert and Kristy Way. Ezra Bailey will perform a guitar solo, Makenzie Ridgeway will sing, Natalie Davies and Kelli Silver will peform a duet, Kacey King will dance, Cate Grant, Ragan Byrom and Jodi Hearn will all sing. After a short intermission, Mary Morton, Gracie Howerton, Kale Archer, Justin Coker and Caleb Maines will peform as a band. Vocal performances will include Alexis Williams, Isabel McClelland, Mariah Smith and Riley Atha. Ryan Johnson will perform a comedy act, Lennox Jones will dance, D.J. Daniels and Gabe Smith will perform a rap song and dance, Georgia Hanson will dance and sing and Christopher Slagle will play guitar and sing.
