A suspect believed to have made multiple bomb threats in Pike County ‘“ and possibly in other counties ‘“ was recently arrested by Pike sheriff’s deputies. Thomas Montgomery, 39, was arrested in relation to a recent rash of bomb threats that claimed explosive devices were inside the courthouse.During the investigation, it was also learned Montgomery had allegedly impersonated a fireman on at least one occasion at a motor vehicle accident scene in Zebulon. Upon being interviewed by investigators, Montgomery reportedly confessed to making multiple bomb threats and impersonating a fireman.He is on probation after serving a prison sentence for making bomb threats against the courthouse in Bartow County in 2004. He served prison time from August 2004 to March 2008. He was also charged with entering a vehicle and burglary in Upson County and served time from April 2009 to July 2009. The investigation into his activities will continue as he is also suspected in other bomb threat calls that have occurred in Upson County and against the Pike school system dating back to last year.A bond has yet to be set and he is in the Pike County Jail.
