The Pike County Bicentennial and Christmas Celebration will feature the county’s first Christmas Light Parade on Friday, Dec. 9 starting at 7 p.m. and the Christmas and Bicentennial Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Float and vendor applications due Dec. 1 and the lineup and layout will be announced Dec. 6. Prizes will be awarded for parade entry winners. Pick up applications at the chamber office or at any downtown business.
The Chamber is also taking nominations for a Grand Marshal for the parade. Send a paragraph describing the nominee and why they would make the perfect Grand Marshall to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail them to P.O. Box 1147 Zebulon, GA 30295.
Candy and confetti cannons are not permitted in the parade. The cost is $20 per float, $10 per car, $5 per golf cart, $5 per ATV or UTV and $5 per horse.
