Williamson recently announced its notice of special election and notice of candidate qualification period after the resignation of a board member. A special election will be held May 20 to fill the seat and qualifying will be held Wednesday, April 23 through Friday April 25. The Willliamson City Council Post 1 seat will be filled via special election. Qualification for the Post 1 seat will be held Wednesday, April 23 through Friday, April 25 at Williamson City Hall, 71 Midland Street in Williamson. Candidates may qualify between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with the exception of a daily lunch break from 12 noon to 1 p.m. The qualifying fee is $25.The Special Election will be held on Tuesday, May 20 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at Williamson City Hall located at 71 Midland Street in Williamson.
