Stanley “Brian” Hammond

Stanley “Brian” Hammond, 52, of Williamson, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in Phenix City, Alabama following an extended illness.

Brian was born and raised in Griffin, Georgia and graduated from Griffin High School, Class of 1988. Fascinated by computers since his first Commodore 64, he worked in computer networking in various industries over the years. He attended Oak Hill Baptist Church. He loved playing guitar and piano, tinkering with technology, rollerblading and roller coasters.

He is survived by his wife, Tara Morris Hammond, his twin sons, Benjamin and Nathan Hammond and his step-daughter Brittany (James) Callaway. He is also survived by his father Stanley W. (Teresa) Hammond of Griffin, GA, his sisters Sheena (Kenny) Harwell of Concord, GA; Natalie (Chip) Davis of Williamson, GA; and Teri Hammond (Mike Lee) of Decatur, GA as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Jo Anne Wright Hammond.
