Stimulus funds find their way to Pike

Governor Sonny Perdue has certified $2 million is stimulus funds to revamp a poorly designed intersection in Pike County. The funds are the first authorized under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to find their way to the area. The money will be used to improve the intersection where highways 18 and 109 and join Highway 74. The governor’s office provided no start date for the project.
