Tanker truck blocks 362

Highway 362 in downtown Hollonville was shut down Monday afternoon after a tractor trailer wrecked and turned over in the highway, dumping 25 tons of cattle feed and leaking diesel fuel. Pike County school’s buses were rerouted and students arrived at homes later than usual. The tanker truck wreck was reported just before 2 p.m. and the final cleanup was completed around 6 p.m. The tanker truck’s leaking diesel was a concern but was contained by Pike County Emergency Services and removed from the area. The single-vehicle wreck occurred nearest to Harp’s Crossing Church in Hollonville.
