Zebulon postmaster Robin Bugg said the post office has been “really busy” Tuesday and Wednesday with people mailing tax returns. The majority of those who wait until the last day usually owed taxes, she noted. The tax returns were separated by zip code, certified or not and whether they are flats or letters. The IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue have their own unique zip codes. For those who didn’t make it by the Zebulon post office by its 4:30 p.m. closing, the Crown Road post office by the airport in Hapeville is open until midnight.Pictured is Zebulon postmaster Robin Bugg as she checks trays of tax returns mailed Wednesday, Apr. 15.
