Two drivers were seriously injured in a head-on collision that occurred around 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 30 on Beeks Road. A life flight helicopter was called to transport one of the injured drivers to the hospital after the wreck, involving an SUV and charcoal-colored Honda took place. A young boy who was the passenger in the SUV appeared to be uninjured at the scene as the female driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital. He was consoled by a female volunteer first responder while officers attempted to locate a guardian. Mid Georgia Ambulance, sheriff’s deputies and volunteer first responders helped extract the other driver – who was a male – from the Honda at the scene of the wreck. Officers and first responders also controlled the scene and coordinated the landing of the life flight helicopter. According to unofficial reports, the driver of one of the vehicles lived on the road where the wreck occurred. The cars were near 426 Beeks Road when they collided.
