Pike County voters go to the polls today to cast ballots in the general/non-partisan primary runoff. Polling places throughout the county will be open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
If you voted a party ballot in the primary, you must vote the same party’s ballot in the runoff.
The two most hotly contested races are both on the Republican ballot. Rick Jackson and Burt Jones are battling for the Republican nomination for governor while Mike Collins and Derek Dooley are seeking the party’s nod for US Senate.
On the Republican side, Greg Dolezal and John F Kennedy are seeking the nomination for lieutenant governor while Tim Fleming and Vernon Jones are running for secretary of state.
On Democratic ballots, Josh McLaurin and Nabilah Parkes are running for lieutenant governor and Dana Barrett and Penny Brown Reynolds are seeking the nomination for secretary of state.
