Warehouse and office building nears completion

A new four-tenant office and warehouse building is being constructed on Highway 19 south near the intersection of Sullivan Road (across from TenCate and the Zebulon Whistlestop, formerly Smoots).

The property next to Beacon Security is busy with workers who are constructing an office and warehouse building that is a total of 15,000 square feet and belong to Major League Baseball player and Pike County native Hunter Strickland.

According to Pike’s planning and zoning director Jeremy Gilbert, the future tenants have not been determined yet.

“At this point, we do not have any details on the end users. They are just building it out as a shell building and each tenant will have to permit the interior finish,” he said.
