Cheerleaders led a chanting crowd Saturday at Trojan Field as the recreation title championships were played on the newly built astroturf field. Pike placed second in the 7-8 division and took the title in the 9-10 division. In the 7-8 division championship, the Lamar Broncos defeated Pike Red 15-8. Billy Henderson scored Pike Red’s only touchdown and Coleman Crow kicked for extra points. In the 9-10 division championship, Pike White shut out the Lamar Tigers 18-0. C’Borius Phinazee scored two touchdowns and Dezmon Ogletree scored a touchdown for Pike White.
