Williamson Wisteria Festival

The Williamson Wisteria Festival will be in full bloom this weekend with events Friday and Saturday, April 4-5 at Benson Hilley Park on Williamson-Zebulon Road.

“The festival is a small-town community event that showcases local vendors and lets people get to know their neighbors,” said city clerk Pamela Schoentag. “There are bounce houses for the children to enjoy, and the city has its new locomotive themed playset. New attendees will get to see what Williamson is all about!”

On Friday, April 4, the festival will start at noon with live musical entertainment taking the stage at 5 p.m. with Don and Robin Tharrett and New Creation at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, April 5, the festival will start at 9 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. To avoid the traffic on Williamson-Zebulon Road, visitors can park at the Williamson Library and transportation to the park can be arranged at the information booth.

“Be patient and courteous, as there will be heavy traffic and our volunteers are limited,” said Schoentag.
