Winter market to open soon

The opening day of Wednesday Market in Zebulon will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26 on Concord Street behind the board of education building.The Ag Authority-sponsored market is a new year-long market that will complement the regular March to October Market on the Square. Now, local farmers and customers will have a second market day every week for fresh, local produce. The market will specialize in locally-grown produce, baked goods and meats. It is designed for farmers who grow in Pike and the counties that touch its boundaries.
