Wyndell Dean Thompson Jr.

Mr. Wyndell Dean Thompson Jr. age 59 of Thomaston died November 28, 2022, at Upson Regional Medical Center.  Funeral services for Mr. Thompson were held on Wednesday, November 30, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home.  Rev. Joey Smith, Dr. William Todd, and Rev. Mickey Corley officiated and interment followed in South View Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson was born March 7, 1963, in LaGrange GA, to the late Wyndell Dean Thompson, Sr. and Yvonne Craven Thompson. He was employed by the Georgia Department of Transportation as a maintenance equipment operator.

Mr. Thompson loved spending time with his precious family and going on family vacations. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.  In addition to his father, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie (Eddie) Leverette.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife of 35 years Mary Davison Thompson of Thomaston; two daughters: Jennifer (Jonathan) Hill of Thomaston, and Windy (Ryan) Nobles of Thomaston; his mother, Yvonne Craven Thompson; a brother Clea (Tanya Montgomery) Thompson; a niece, Morgan (Dustin Yandle) Thompson; a nephew, C. J.  (Becky) Thompson; and his mother-in-law, Emily Davison. He loved and cherished his three grandchildren: McKenna Hill, Daisy Nobles, and Tommy Nobles.

The family wishes to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at URMC, and everyone for all the texts, calls, visits, and food that we received in this difficult time.
