Veteran legislator Rep. John Yates has written Gov. Sonny Perdue recommending Fayetteville attorney John Mrosek be appointed to one of the two now vacant judicial slots in the Griffin circuit.Mrosek ran unsuccessfully against now defrocked former judge Johnnie Caldwell in 2000 and 2004 and has been a member of the Georgia bar for 27 years.Regardless of whether he is appointed, Mrosek plans to run for judge in the November non-partisan election.
