According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, COVID cases remained low at 13 over the past two weeks.
However, Flu A has hospitalized 27 metro-Atlanta residents in Week 2 of the flu season according to the DPH. Last week, the area saw 44 cases of Flu A and only two cases of Flu B. In Week 2, there has been one flu-related death and three documented flu outbreaks.
