The Pike County High School golf teams had strong seasons as they earned top 10 spots in the state. The girls finished the season at 14-1-1, bringing home second place at the Upson Lady’s Invitational, third place in Area and eighth in state. The boys finished 13-3, became Area Champions and finished seventh in state.
“What a season for Pirate Golf! I couldn’t be more proud of these kids and the heart they put into this game all season long. The last couple of days were extremely tough on them mentally and physically, but they kept fighting and represented our school the right way,” said coach Christopher Johnson.
“Give these players a huge round of applause for the work, dedication, and toughness they showed this year. Also, a huge thank you to all of our sponsors for supporting Pirate Golf this season. We truly appreciate everything y’all did for our program, and we look forward to working with y’all again next year.”
